Dr. Kristy Ludwig - Anxiety in Schools: What Is Helpful
Dr. Kristy Ludwig is a licensed clinical psychologist in Utah and Washington. Prior to opening a practice here in Utah, she practiced psychology in the Seattle area for eight years. Dr. Ludwig received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Brigham Young University, a Master’s degree in Adolescent Risk and Prevention from Harvard University, and a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Boston University. She completed a pre-doctoral internship at The Child Study Center in New York City and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Evidence Based Treatment Centers of Seattle and the University of Washington. In addition to her individual clinical work in private practice, she conducts clinical research at the University of Washington focusing on the development and implementation of school-based mental health services. In this capacity, she provides trainings and clinical consultation for school based mental health providers in Washington and throughout the United States and Canada.
Prior to becoming a psychologist, she was a high school teacher and counselor in several large urban high schools in the Boston Public Schools. Dr. Ludwig had the opportunity to work with adolescents struggling with emotional, social, psychological and academic difficulties (i.e. violence, homelessness, court involvement, gang involvement, domestic violence, trauma, truancy, family distress). During this time, she also created and worked with several school, community, and church-based programs to help meet the psychosocial and academic needs of youth in Boston and surrounding communities.
