Grants for Counselors
PURPOSE: To provide financial support to school counselors and school counseling programs for items that are frequently subsidized from personal funds or are omitted from the budget completely.

PURPOSE:
To provide financial support to school counselors and school counseling programs for items that are frequently subsidized from personal funds or are omitted from the budget completely.
GUIDELINES:
1. You must be an active member of the Utah School Counselor Association for the 2024-25 school year (until May 31, 2025).
2. Requests must relate to your work as a school counselor and as a need for your school counseling program. Also, the request must help students directly. (It could be things like treats, etc. that are used as motivation or rewards, curriculum, items for a calm room/box, school supplies, etc ).
3. If you have received a grant the during the last 2 school years you are ineligible this school year.
4. Amount awarded depends on the amount requested and number of eligible grant applications.
5. The entire form needs to be filled out correctly, including not exceeding the maximum of 75 words where specified, to be eligible for a grant. Any words beyond the maximum of 75 will be deleted.
6. In an effort to ensure the evaluation process is a blind assessment, for responses #8, #9, #10, #11 please do not include any identifying information such as :
- Counselor name
- School or district name
- Socio-economic status
- Type of school such as public, private or charter (School level such as elementary, middle or high school is fine)
- Location
